Tikki Chaat

A bold twist on classic puri chaat – crunchy, spicy protein tikkis topped with tangy chutneys and classic chaat fixings.

Ingredients

  • For the Base: 6-8 Garlic/Chilli Protein Tikkis, shallow fried or grilled

Toppings:

  • 2 tbsp Green chutney
  • 2 tbsp Sweet tamarind (Imli) chutney
  • 1 tbsp Red chutney (spicy)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp Chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1⁄2 tsp Chaat masala
  • Juice of 1⁄2 lemon
  • 1⁄4 cup Sev (fine or nylon style)

🧑‍🍳INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the Tikkis:
  • Defrost and pan-fry the garlic/chilli protein tikkis in oil until crispy (2-3 minutes).
Assemble the Chaat:
  • Arrange 3-4 hot tikkis on a serving plate.
Layer the Flavour:
  • Spoon over green chutney, sweet Imli chutney, and red chutney in swirls or drizzles.
Add Crunch & Freshness:
  • Sprinkle chopped onions, tomatoes, and chaat masala evenly over the tikkis.
Finish Strong:
  • Top generously with sev. Squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle chopped coriander over just before serving.

  • Serve immediately to keep the tikkis crisp.
  • You can add pomegranate pearls for extra texture.
